NIR Band-Pass Filters

NIR Band-Pass Filters
mso jena offers NIR Bandpass Filters with broadband blocking over the full range of detector sensitivity. The blocking is achieved exclusively by an interference filter coating with typical layer number of 200 and total thickness of up to 20 microns. The filters are deposited onto glass windows or window caps, whereas additional color glasses can be abandoned. The filters excel by high durability under mechanical or climatic load, and even withstand high-energy radiation. The spectral performance is invariant in the temperature range between -100 °C and +20 °C.

NIR Bandpass Filters are widely used for spectral cameras and proximity sensors. mso jena adapts the filter performance to the signal of interest and to the particular spectral response of the photodetector (CMT, InGaAs, PbS). The passband center wavelength can vary between 800 and approx. 3500 nm.

The manufacturing of NIR filters with broadband blocking requires the use of state-of-the-art coating technologies with ion-assisted thin-film deposition and in-situ optical monitoring. The typical layer thickness accuracy is in the range of 0.5 nm. mso jena´s coating systems allow rapid development of customized filters as well as high quantity serial production.
